The Shop

One of the top complaints that I hear from women who are interested in learning about the world of non-toxic beauty is that they are overwhelmed and just don’t know where

to start making changes. I think that any change can be overwhelming, but when it comes to changing long-standing brand habits and simply getting used to the way we do things when it comes to our “look” there is even more of a struggle.

On my own path from using commercial brand makeup brands which STILL  include known unsafe ingredients, I had growing pains as well. I wish I had a place like Nature Of Beauty to help me in my journey. The Nature Of Beauty buying guide is an amazing resource that can help you transform your makeup bag into a lovely shade of green without any pain.

From choosing lipstick to finding gluten free and vegan brands, the NOB Buying Guide will walk you through with love and care. You can even e-mail questions directly to their experts and get a quick informative response.

I’d get these: Jane Iredale Liquid Mineral Foundation and Jane Iredale Powder-Me SPF.

I’d love to find a skincare product that naturally reduces redness/rosacea.

Shea Sante Face & Body Butter
Jane Iredale Absence Oil Control Primer

are preservatives used in green beauty products? If not, how do they stay fresh and if so , are they still considered green / safe?

What a great giveaway. If I would be the lucky winner, I would definitely get Couleur Caramel Makeup Base (Primer) and Dr. Alkaitis Organic Universal Mask.

I have very large clogged pores and never are able to clear out the years of not taking care of my skin. What do you suggest for cleansing and clearing very clogged pores?

I would love to get the Jane Iredale sample makeup kit and a lip crayon from Jane Iredale in luscious.
But I am wondering if they are gluten free?
Or actually what is a good gluten free makeup line?
I already follow you on all platforms

Heather March 7, 2010 at 2:46 pm

I already use the Alima powder foundation from Nature of Beauty, great shop! I would like to try the Alima Primer or the Finishing powder. I am also looking for a nice body lotion and wouldn’t mind trying Galen Labs Wildcrafted Shea Cream. My question to Nature of Beauty is in regards to the Shea Cream and how it smells. Does have a nice smell to it? I like having a body lotion that has a nice fragrance.
Thanks for the opportunity!

Jennifer March 8, 2010 at 11:22 am

I would love to try the Living Nature Nourishing Conditioner and the Logona Combination Skin Mint Cleansing Treatment. I’ve been in need of a good conditioner for a while!

Burning beauty question: what’s the best natural treatment to fade acne scars? I have sensitive skin that scars easily, and although my skin is finally pretty clear, I still have really uneven skin tone.

Alice March 8, 2010 at 6:44 pm

Oooh, tough decision! I think I would get the Logona Combination Skin Hamamelis Night Cream, as well as the Ideo Amidala Tunic Dress. Also, one question that I have is if there are particular kinds of foundation/make-up that would work best for combination skin that is also the pale, Asian skin color-type?

Karen Murphy March 8, 2010 at 10:18 pm

Logona Sensitive Facial Scrub Cream, and Jane Iredale Lid Primer (hard to choose just two … I had many more in mind!).

I love NOB’s values — woot! For people switching over from the mainstream, what’s the #1 ingredient that’s most harmful in cosmetics and therefore the most important to avoid?

Thanks!

Ooo, products. I am now totally lusting after the Jane Iredale Eye Gloss in Champagne Silk! Now that I’m a stay at home mom and not subject to the disapproving eye of The Man in corporate America, I love to wear sparkly and shimmery makeup every day. Jane’s Dream Tint also sounds amazing (currently I use Laura Mercier’s Luminous Tinted Moisturizer). Are there any hand creams out there (maybe not even on the site) that help w/ excema?? Meaning no fragrance, sadly.

Oh yeah, and I follow Eco Diva on twitter.

Lauren Snow March 11, 2010 at 10:12 am

Two favorite items I would definitely buy would be Couleur Caramel’s mascara and Keys Solar Rx. I’m also dying to try out Revolution Organics’ lip glosses!! As far as a question….I do wish that they had an option to buy more samples for $1-1.50 vs 1 cent – instead of the quantity limit that corresponds to the amount you’re spending.

Two products I’d HAVE to buy: 1) Intelligent Nutrients Lip Delivery Nutrition and 2) Keys RediCare Natural Healing Spray

My burning eco beauty question: Why isn’t there an alcohol-free fragrance available? Or, is the Intelligent Nutrients Jasminas Organic Aroma alcohol-free? Not a big fan of jasmine, but maybe there are other scents available?

What a great giveaway. So excited to look over the Nature of Beauty website and see what else they have.I would love to buy the Jane Iredale Amazing Base and the Couleur Carmel Lipgloss ( Chocolate Brown)

My burning beauty question would be….what is the very best product to hide pigmintation marks and brown spots. I also emailed this to a friend.

Lawana March 11, 2010 at 7:20 pm

The two products I would love to buy would be:

Jane Iredale Amazing Base
Couleur Carmel Lipgloss

My burning Eco beauty question would be:
what product would be best to fade or hide pigmentaion brown marks?

I also emailed a friend about this giveaway.

This is such a nice giveaway! Thank you so much EcoDiva!!!!

I would love to get:
the Rare El’ements Pre-Shampoo El Serum
RMS Beauty Lip2Cheek in “smile”

My burning beauty question would be….which products does the Nature of Beauty suggest for mature skin? Many of the organic products I have bought locally and given my mom to try were not very effective.

Thanks again, EcoDiva for this generous giveaway!!! =]

Kind regards, Wilka

Well I would have to say my purchase would start with the Couleur Caramel yellow eyeshadow as well as their foundation.

My ? is… I am a professional makeup artist and I am transforming my kit to a “green” kit and I am needing a great High Definition foundation and setting powder. What would you suggest? I would love to win to further my kit’s “green” transition ;)

Thank You~ Jessica jessica@reelmakeup.com

I would definitely buy Alima Luminous Shimmer Eyeshadow in Glow and
Couleur Caramel Lipstick in Pearly Old Pink.

I am wondering if the store will consider opening up another location?

Thanks!

I would love to try Logona Age Protection Instant Lifting Serum and their Skin Firming gel. My burning question is… can you recommend a good line of organic/natural hair colorants that will cover gray hair?
Thanks, this was a great idea! It definitely got me to the store and I couldn’t help but fill my cart.

I’d definitely pick up the Revolution Organics Glow Beauty Balm and Dr. Alkaitis Organic Universal Mask.

I’d like to know what’s a good organic brand/product to help in clearing up my acne-prone skin?

Thanks,
Nina
